Fighting Back Against Substance Abuse
Recently, Congressman Joyce and I introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives calling for more international cooperation to stop the trafficking of illicit fentanyl into America. Illicit fentanyl is a synthetic drug that is 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin.

Too many people in West Virginia and around the country are falling victim to the dangers of drugs, robbing them of their God-given potential. Substance abuse and opioid addiction have now become a national crisis. We must stay on offense in our fight against this epidemic. This resolution will help build international support to stop the flow of illicit fentanyl into our country and ultimately save thousands of American lives.
Traveling the District and Meeting with Constituents
Traveling throughout the district and meeting directly with my constituents is one of my favorite parts of serving in Congress. With many issues to confront, it’s absolutely necessary to hear the thoughts and concerns of my fellow Mountaineers.

This week we held roundtables and meetings to discuss veterans issues, a national energy policy, and how we can strengthen small businesses and grow our economy. To read more about our meetings, click here and here.

WVU Update: Go Mountaineers!
The baseball team had a big win Friday night, upsetting #3 TCU with a walk off sacrifice fly! Both teams are set to square off in West Virginia today at 4:00 PM.
Let’s go Mountaineers!
Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
