It’s Time for Real Healthcare Reform
It is very clear that working families are being hurt by high premiums, soaring deductibles, and limited healthcare options. This week, the House took a major step towards advancing real reform with the American Health Care Act. The goal of this legislation is to expand access to affordable and quality healthcare coverage to more people.

This bill will continue to be modified as it makes its way through the relevant Committees in an open and transparent process so the public can see what is in it before it is passed. To read about this important legislation, click here.
Strengthening our National Defense
Rogue states and international terror groups are always threatening to strike the United States. To make sure we are capable of protecting the American people, we need a strong military to deter attacks, protect the homeland, and defend our allies.

This week the House passed an important bill to fund our military and keep our national security strong. Our legislation maintains our technological edge, ensures military readiness, and supports our troops.
Speaking with Constituents
Our office is always open to the people we represent. Meeting with and speaking to my fellow West Virginians is one of my favorite parts of serving in Congress. With many issues to confront, it’s absolutely necessary to hear the thoughts and concerns directly from the people of West Virginia.

Over the last few days we welcomed visitors from the National Hemophilia Foundation, Novelis North America, the National Kidney Foundation, and the National Coalition of Black Lung Clinics.
