| Congressional Action on Coronavirus |
On Wednesday, President Trump signed into law the Families First Coronavirus Response Act that the House voted out last week with my support. This bill was phase two of the Coronavirus package. The bill expands testing and provides economic support to families and businesses impacted by the virus. Free tests, funding for nutritional programs, and paid sick leave are vital in helping Americans combat the virus. Congress and the Administration are currently developing a third response to this crisis. The third bill would include public health, targeted assistance to industries, financial assistance to small businesses, and direct economic help to Americans. Congress is continuing to work hard and pass legislation that helps Americans and the economy deal with this pandemic.

Speaking with Hospital Administrators and Staff
|
This week, Mary and I made phone calls to Hospital Administrators and staff throughout the district to ask what they are implementing to combat the virus and help they need from us. We learned the hospitals need PPE supplies, ventilators, and a quicker turn around in testing. Congress will continue to work with the Administration and get the much needed supplies to these hospitals.
