(R-WV)issued the following statement on the national defense bill. “With rising turmoil across the Middle East, growing threats from ISIS, and militarism from Russia and China, Americans are increasingly concerned about national security. However, this Administration has decimated our military preparedness. With troop levels low and military equipment in urgent need of an upgrade, our military is in a desperate situation and we in the House had to act. “The legislation we passed today will begin to restore confidence with the American people that our military has the capabilities it needs to defend this nation and defeat our enemies.” |
