McKinley Demands Answers from Biden Administration on Border Crisis, Drug Trafficking

Washington, DC – This week Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E., (WV-1) issued a pair of letters to Biden Administration Officials, pressing them for information related to illicit drugs, including Chinese fentanyl, coming across the U.S. Southern Border.

“America has hit another tragic milestone: 100,000 drug overdose deaths reported in a one-year period and West Virginia sadly tops the list with the highest overdose death rate,” said McKinley. “The Biden Administration’s southern border crisis is directly contributing to the drug crisis. There is no end in sight. Mexican drug cartels are freely crossing the southern border and are moving massive amounts of Chinese fentanyl into American neighborhoods.”

“The cartels are using this border crisis to push poison into our communities. I want to know what steps the Biden Administration is taking to combat this scourge and secure the border,” said McKinley.
