Action is being taken against an MLB proposal that threatens the future of two Minor League Baseball teams in our area. This week, four Congress members announced the official formation of the 'Save Minor League Baseball Task Force.' One of those members is Republican David McKinley, who represents West Virginia's 1st district. Others are Lori Trahan (D-MA), Max Rose (D-NY), and Mike Simpson (R-ID). According to a press release, the Task Force will "advocate on behalf of the communities that stand to be most harmed by the MLB's proposal. Members say they will "closely monitor negotiations between the MLB and Minor League Baseball," and "discuss potential legislative action if, and when, it becomes necessary." |
