Congressman David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-WV) issued the following statement regarding a ruling by a Federal court in Texas that declared Obamacare unconstitutional:
“This decision should spur Congress into action to reform health care on a bipartisan basis. With divided government we have a chance to improve affordability, ensure access to care, address the cost of prescription drugs, and protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

“This decision should spur Congress into action to reform health care on a bipartisan basis. This ruling will not have any immediate impact on premiums or coverage for the coming year and will likely be appealed. In the meantime, Republicans and Democrats alike should take this opportunity to put aside the partisan squabbling and enact reforms that will help people get affordable and quality health care.” |
