"They need to stop the name calling," he said of the candidates during an interview at the Wetzel Chronicle on Thursday, April 7. McKinley did not directly endorse any candidate but noted that he likes Ohio Governor John Kasich.

This legislation will provide student veterans an extra nine months of benefits and resources if they pursue a degree in science, technology, education, or math (STEM).

David McKinley said Tuesday.Speaker Paul Ryan, who was elected to lead the House Oct. 29, has put together a five-point plan to address issues that impact the nation, McKinley, R-W.Va., said."He's doing a pretty good job," the 1st District congressman told The Exponent Telegram. "He doesn't have the real-life experience I'd like, but I like Paul. Paul and I get along very well."

McKinley, Lummis Lead Letter Opposing Federal Coal Lease Moratorium

Last week, Coal Caucus Chairman David B. McKinley, P.E. (WV-01) and Western Caucus Chairman Cynthia Lummis (WY-At large) led 11 fellow Members of the U.S. House in sending a letter to Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell. The letter demanded the legal justification for the Administration's recent moratorium on any new leases for coal production on federal land as well as the estimate of jobs that will be lost because of the new lease moratorium.
